We received an email from a portable toilet hire and servicing firm while looking for custom vests and polos for their personnel. When it became evident what the polos and vests were for, we suggested that they buy an all-polyester item to provide good breathability and the fabric's inherent lightness, which improved working conditions. Polyester fabric also has the advantage of allowing sublimation printing. When it was decided that the print would be entirely black and entail no colour, we continued to print the request using sublimation and shipped the garments out in a flash once the client approved the mock-up.

The coordinator of an Australian recycling company requested us for a quote on getting some customised hi-vis gear for his staff. He was given a number of location and printing alternatives right away, and once those choices had been confirmed through the exchange of digital mock-ups, we started sublimation printing. Sublimation printing, which simply entails printing on a specific sheet of paper that is then heated and put on top of the garment, allows the ink to permanently stain the clothing and reduces fading, making it a viable alternative for businesses whose staff work in more extreme climates. We are convinced that the client will ask for more after seeing the spectacular final result!

For their newly hired employees, a well-known beach resort in Byron Bay needed some high visibility vests. Following the digital mock-validation ups of the print locations and sizes, the order was officially confirmed. Once authorised, the vests were imprinted using a process called sublimation printing, in which the ink penetrates the cloth to imprint the design, making the vest fade-resistant. Sublimation designs are perfect for polyester fabrics that are worn frequently since the ink instantly stains the fabric. Strong black on a bright yellow background made for a stunning final design, and we once again met our deadline!
